my friend just bought a bottle of jack daniels single barrel. Ive had jack before but i was wondering if anybody could tell me the difference between regular jack and the single barrel.

I understand the single barrel was distilled and aged in just one barrel. but is there any difference in its proof or taste. or is it just aged longer like gold and platinum patron

  1. There are a few differences:

    1. It is 94 proof as apposed to regular jack which is 80 prrof

    2. It is aged longer

    3. It is aged in a single barrel because the distillers believed that barrel contained an especially good batch of Jack.
