Jacket stealing?

what kind of theft is this I told a person wearing a jacket to take it off and I'll take good care of it then I hid the jacket somewhere then the person was looking for the jacket then could not find it then left and I ended up having the jacket? and the cost of the jacket was $100

This is such a law school question.  Clearly, this is a theft.  But technically, because the person gave you the jacket, this is considered embezzlement, as you had permissive use of the jacket, then stole it.  

A prosecutor in the real world would file this as either a petty or grand theft, based upon the local State law.

Straight up you are a thief!  Grow up and return the jacket before you end up in jail!
