LEE no contest. Lee was perfecting his speed and streangth and devising a form of mma aka jeet kune do where chan studied opera and theater while trainng in traditional kung fu to later become an actor. lee used acting as a vessel to  spread the word not just for stardom.

He was a lot more solid, and from what I remember much faster.

He also made his OWN style of fighting up...You gotta know what you're doing to do that.

At the first sight I would say Lee ..like most of you..but sometimes it only takes 1 good moment and 1 punch/kick to finish a fight.

It's not because you're a better fighter on paper you will win..being lucky is an important factor too. And sometimes it's just not on your side that moment..

Jackie Chan learned his skills in a Chinese Opera school, designed for show only; Bruce's skills, from all reports I've heard, were the real thing (Including Tae Kwon Do master Jhoon Rhee, who said he would never want to get into the ring with him)

Jackie himself said in "I am Jackie Chan", that Bruce would have kicked his *** (though apparently, Sammo Hung sparred with Bruce, and claims he was able to hang, but who knows?)

For the record, Jackie also considered himself about even with Benny the Jet when they sparred, if that helps
