Jackie is in the same league of Hilary who turned a blind eye to her husband cheating on her for the glory of staying with a Kennedy and come on she did marry Onassis so she thrived on fame just as much as Marilyn did.

Jackie Kennedy had the brains, courage and gumption.  Marilyn Monroe had the looks, sexual appeal and unhappiness.

By no means do I think Marilyn was a dumb blond.  She was bright and like most stars did not know how to handle stardom.  She had a love in Joe DiMaggio who idealized her until his death, but she did not have the desire or feelings or committment to make that marriage work.  So, she was unhappy, and lonely I believe.  She had no spirituality to make a marriage or her life happy and workable.

Jackie Kennedy endured JFK cheating on her with Marilyn, she endured his death, she endured the public infatuated with her and she excelled.  She went through tough times right after JFK's death but she managed to excel in hard times something that Marilyn could not do.
