Question:

Jackson Chameleon won't eat!?

Hi, I have two male jackson chameleons, yes in seperate cages. We feed them mostly crickets, but sometimes silk worms. The one is a great eater, and the other refuses to eat. We resort to force feeding him, because there is no other way to get him to eat or else he will starve! We also have given him supplements and this jelly that will promote eating, but it doesn't work. He drinks an ample amount of water, but nothing seems to work. What's the next step?

  1. Try other insects.  Mine loves superworms (I put them in a plastic cup hung in the tree).  Check your temps and lighting...biggest cause of appetite problems.  Intestinal parasites can also be a problem with these guys...mine had giardia.
