Jacksonville Jaguars go up against Miami Dolphins in Week 15 – NFL Preview
Jacksonville Jaguars will play against Miami Dolphins in Week 15 on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Sun Life Stadium, Miami, Florida. It will be a game between two struggling teams who are facing tough situation after putting up another dismal season.
Both the teams are hoping to get a strong finish to the season so as to go into the locker room with their heads high.
Moreover, every member of these two teams is pushing hard to get their jobs secure.
The job security is of a bigger issue in Jaguars’ camp, who are tied at the bottom of the league alongside Kansas City Chiefs with 2-11 record.
Dolphins (5-8) look on course to give Jaguars their fifth consecutive defeat on road with their rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill getting better every week.
If Jaguars lose this game, it would make their biggest run of defeats on road in last nine seasons. The team has also given away 77 points in last two games.
Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has been through some health problems lately. However, the coach will be alongside the team on Sunday. Giving his views about the game, Mularkey said:
"We need things like that to happen for our team to help us win and help us with momentum. We're coming up short with them in one way or another."
Dolphins are also not having the best of times. The team has lost five of its last six games. Tannehill has been the only inspiration for Dolphins to get things better in coming time. Talking about the team’s current reign of form, Tannehill said:
"I don't know exactly what the answer is, but we have to make the plays that are there. You can't win in this league scoring as few points as we are. It's frustrating."
Tannehill was unable to give better output against the mighty San Francisco 49ers in Week 14. He finished the game with 17 of 33 for 150 yards and a touchdown.
The game will also mark the return of Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne who was signed by the team before the start of the season from Dolphins. Giving his views about facing Dolphins, Henne said:
"I'm sure there's going to be emotions once we get there. Obviously I've got to handle those emotions, but at the same time I'm just going to prepare like it's a regular week."
Henne will get his third start in a row and looks set to being evaluated for next season. However, despite giving the team a victory in Week 12, he followed up with two despicable performances that saw the player throwing three interceptions.
