Jacksonville Jaguars home-game failure baffles coach Mike Mularkey, others – NFL News
The Jacksonville Jaguars are unable to put themselves in order in their own home may not be well fitting idiom to the Jaguars’ situation but there is no other word that could best describe the poor showing of the team in their home grounds.
As owner Shahid Khan’s side continues to tumble at their home-ground, it has baffled the coach Mike Mularkey, who is into very first year of his assignment as a head coach with the side.
It was the same result in the last game versus Detroit Lions and the team’s officials threw back another tie with the same old traditional remarks here and there, saying they would try to learn from their mistakes and do better in the next game.
The situation is rather critical for quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who is into second year of pro career but often finds himself committing the mistakes of his rookie season.
Although the situation appears to be calm at the headquarters, a question has been lingering how long the coach is going to be patient and in waiting mode as far as performance of the quarterback is concerned.
It is not a different story at some other key positions except for running back Maurice Jones-Drew. He has not led the issue of payment raise into his way of giving hundred percent. He, however, in a couple of games had fallen prey to change of offensive
schemes of the coach. He remains the notable member as far as significant performances are concerned, although he still mentions of the team’s choice of denying him a well-deserving pay increase as the most hurt factor in his pro stint.
Maurice was on the sidelines for over a month in the offseason persisting with the demand that he deserved a better payout, but then returned to action without that demand fulfilled. The Jaguars asked the player to service two years left on his previous
deal on the same terms.
