Jacksonville Jaguars’ linebacker Clint Session doubtful for this season – NFL News
Jacksonville Jaguars’ linebacker Clint Session has become doubtful for the current season of American football's premier league, National Football League (NFL) due to concussion.
The Jaguars have already placed him on injured reserve list; he will be on the sideline for almost all games starting from this Sunday.
Session had suffered a concussion during preseason games. He was injured again in the game against the Cleveland Browns on past Sunday. He has had injuries to his hand and elbow, which have made him miss few games, earlier in the
season.
Session has been removed from the active roster by the Jaguars. He is being considered to be unlikely for the current season, given the nature of his injury is serious. Also, the NFL office has started monitoring the concussion
and other injuries seriously. According to an agreement between the NFL and NFL Players Association (NFLPA), the NFL office has been making the players safety their paramount priority.
In line with implementation of the monitoring plan, the NFL office will be placing an observer at press box during each game to monitor players’ injuries, with priority to concussion. An observer will also be watching games at
the wide screen at the NFL headquarters in New York to coordinate with observers at press boxed during each game. The Program is starting from this Thursday’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville Jaguars have signed their new linebacker Kevin Bentley who has been activated on the active roster in place of Session.
The club is expecting Russell Allen to replace session at the starting position in their game against the Houston Texans this Sunday.
Kevin Bentley is in his 10th year of his professional career. He during his career has spent time with Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans.
The Jaguars have been hit by the injuries recently. Their key players including Rashean Mathis are already on their injured reserve list.
Losing Rashean is one of the biggest setbacks that Jaguars are facing. They have already signed two new players: Ashton Youboty and George Selvie for the cornerback and defensive end positions.
