Jacksonville Jaguars list WR Laurent Robinson as probable for Cincinnati Bengals game – NFL News
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has confirmed that the team has listed wide receiver Laurent Robinson as probable for the game versus Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday following his return to full practice on Friday (September 28) after recovering
from concussion.
Laurent was hit on head in the game against the Indianapolis Colts last week and later a detailed investigation showed the injury was concussion. Now the team confirms he has recovered from it, a rather speedy recovery, but has listed him as probable to
see how he goes about after Friday’s practice.
It turns to be a sensible decision from the team given in some circumstances concussion-like symptoms return after full practice by a player for the first time after suffering the injury.
Robinson had missed two workout opportunities earlier in the week but was able to make it to Friday and did detailed training. Although there is no information if the player has suffered any post-training problem with regard to his head injury, it remains
to be seen whether he stays hundred percent until the start of the game.
The team is expected to re-evaluate him just before the start of the game and if he does not suffer any symptoms he is likely to be included in the squad.
His return will be nevertheless a good development for the team given receiver Justin Blackmon is struggling to perform up to his potential, and their only other option is Cecil Shorts, who had an 80-yard touchdown in the last game to help the side register
their first win of the season.
Robinson at the moment is leading the team with eight receptions for 115 yards. Blackmon has managed to put up only 31 yards. Overall, the team is struggling on the offensive line, and their main receiver 's comeback should boost it to an extent.
Mularkey has set higher hopes for Robinson's comeback after seeing him training, apparently looking satisfied with the progress the player has made in the recovery process so far, and given he has a couple of days before the game he can make up for any minor
issues left in the rehab.
