Jacksonville Jaguars say no timeline for LB Clint Session's return from concussion – NFL News
The Jacksonville Jaguars have refused to speculate a timeline for return of linebacker Clint Session to action after confirmation that the player has lately suffered fresh setbacks to his recovery from concussions.
Mike Mularkey, the Jags head coach, while commenting on the recovery status of the player said it was a sort of up and down process, hinting that the rehab process is hindered by the post-injury symptoms every now and then, which is a
common problem in case of recovery from head injuries.
Mike said:
“It's kind of been an up-and-down process. You just kind of get your hopes up and he'll have something that will set him back."
He added:
"It's definitely a concern. We just don't know the future with him."
Mike gave the update about the recovery of the player after opening of the team’s formal training camp on Friday.
Clint is in the phase of recovery since November last year after suffering the latest concussion in their game against the Cleveland Browns.
He had earlier suffered the same injury during the team’s preseason campaign. It has been more than seven months since the player is still struggling to be hundred percent.
He has already missed most part of the team’s offseason activity and could not manage to return to action at training camp, dashing hopes of his managers and coaches.
With confirmation that Session had taken part in some of the organised team activities, the coach refused to offer more details around the recovery chances and timeline for his return.
The coach said:
"I'm not going to give a timetable. Clint is still having some problems with some concussion symptoms. We're trying to make sure we do that correctly, especially with the history of the concussions that are going on lately. We're dealing
with Clint. We're going to not push him into anything."
Session joined the Jacksonville Jaguars on a five-year, $29 million deal in 2011 off the Indianapolis Colts’ waiver. His deal includes $11.5 guaranteed. He was paid $2.25 million in roster bonus in March this year. The injuries have delayed
his pro run for the time being at least.
