Do you think that with the way Ellsbury is playing lately he'll be moved down to the minors? I hope not!

  1. He won't be.  He is a major leaguer now, he would only go down if he got hurt or if he continued to play horrible for the rest of the year, he would be put on the DL with a made up injury, just like Lugo.  He is in a bit of a slump, but he is still getting on base and playing excellent defense, he won't be put down, don't worry.

  2. No, every player goes through slumps. He is just in his right now.

  3. Ellsbury was great. He should still be playing for the Red Sox!

  4. nope thats pretty stupid for a GM to even consider

and he better not bc then wen i go to Fenway in 6 days, i wont b able to see a hot player :)

  5. no i do not

  6. He is the most OVERRATED player in he MLB!  He steals bases, thats it.  So get a track star and they could do the same thing.

  7. i cant believe they would.  He has proven himself.  I mean if they ship him off then why not ship off varitek?

  8. Not a possibility really.  Jacoby, after his outstanding performance last season helping the Red Sox win the World Series, is just experiencing a temporary slump!  Heck, anybody would be considered in a slump if they weren't "clicking" in all the areas.  Come on, Jacoby knows himself that his first call-up to the majors, (last season) was an unbelievable, outstanding, experience as well as a confidence building time, no one can take that away from him, (or us).  Jacoby as well as most ball players experience a period of "slowness",  he is now at the point in his career where he is fine-tuning his attributes as well as working in  areas he is not strong in.  Also, as he is just this year considered a rookie, and that along with the exceptional show last season, other teams are aware of what he has, and are showing that they know they have an opponent to be wary of.  So, don't be discouraged, and I, as a fan of his, who lives in his hometown of Madras, Oregon, anticipate watching him for years to come!  Give him some support.  GO JACOBY

  9. He shouldn't be. Every player has their slumps and Jacoby is in the middle of one now. We need to keep him in the line-up and if in a month his average has gone down even more, maybe we should start starting Coco more often. We're ok keeping him up here for now though because we have Jed Lowrie hitting like crazy in the last couple games.  I doubt we'll end up sending him down at all though, the worst that will happen is we start letting Coco Crisp start more games.

  10. yes hes got a lot of holes in his swing right now that need to be worked on

  11. nope because the red sox need to keep him because they do not have another center fielder that is as fast as him. and he is starting to get a little hot with the bat he will get about 62 more hits this year i think at the least.
