Jadanna looking to complete her hat-trick in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot
James Given’s charge, Jadanna, will aim to complete her hat-trick in the Queen Mary Stakes at the Royal Ascot on 20th June, 2012 - so far unbeaten - the young runner is aiming for a glorious victory in the mega-event.
The bay filly was mounted by Paul Mulrennan in the Bhest Racing To School Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Pontefract where she finished 3 lengths before the race favourite, Back In The Frame.
The daughter of Mujadil, out of mare Savannah Poppy, carried the same composure into her next start, and claimed a 1 length victory over, Blue Clumber, in the Hilary Needler Trophy (Conditions Stakes) at Beverley on 30th May,
2012.
The trainer is pleased the way things have gone for his runner as he stated to the press that:
"I was very pleased she backed up what she showed at Pontefract in the Hilary Needler, but her success does not seem to have been rated very highly."
Given, commented that she had a little problem between races, but she recovered quickly and performed well.
This five furlong race will really test her stamina, and she can truly be evaluated after this race.
The Danethorpe Racing Partnership owned filly will be mounted by Frankie Dettori, and if she succeeds, the trainer will consider running her at Lowther, Given said to the press:
"People have rated her off the second, who was 100-1, but we'll find out how good she is. The shame is that it's such a big field and without being disrespectful, there are some in there who don't look up to the class. I think she will get further
in time but she's in the Super Sprint. Were she to win, we'd be looking at the Lowther."
Trainer Richard Hannon is hoping one of his runners can down this race, as his entries include Hairy Rocket, Jubilee Diamond and Miss Diva. Among them, Jubilee Diamond looks like the strongest competitor, who will be mounted by rider, Richard Hughes.
The daughter of Redback, out of mare Nice One Clare, finished second to Upward Spiral in the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Sandown, but chances are she will improve this
time around.
