England’s cricket team has been on a roll this year and their latest recruitment, Jade Dernbach, is hoping that it stays the same way when the Poms host http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 for two Twenty20 matches, which are
scheduled to be played at the Oval, on September 23 and 25 respectively.
The young pacer wants England to end their summer on a winning note, as it would help their cause when they embark to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 for the Twenty20 World Cup next year.
In an interview to Skysports, Dernbach said, “The boys are in a winning way and we have found ways of winning cricket matches from any position we are put in and that is obviously fantastic, we can take
confidence from that. We have taken a lot of momentum from a great summer and it is important we finish on a high note with these last two Twenty20s.”
England retained the Ashes earlier this year and completely dominated Sri Lanka and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 when the Asian teams toured the island. The Poms climbed to the top of International Cricket Council’s Test rankings
after handing Team India a 4-0 defeat in Tests.
“It's amazing. It is always great when you are involved in a successful team. And that is what we are at the moment - No.1 Test nation and we are making some good strides into becoming a very, very forceful
one-day side as well,” said the pacer who is in fledging phase of his cricketing career.
England will be missing the services of their Twenty20 skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 will be leading
the side in his absence.
Dernbach shed some light on the importance of the series and said that every game is vital for England as it will help them in perfecting their strategies.
The young pacer concludes that the Poms will hardly play five to six matches before the mega event starts, so they should bring an end to any discrepancies in their side by applying different tactics
in these games so they can be implemented in the World Cup.
