Jade Goody has cervical cancer sooo...?

Question

I was wondering if people would stop criticizing her now that she has cancer, she was sorry for what she did that by going on India's version of Big Brother...

what do you think? do you think she will be respected once more or not?

I don't think she'll be respected.  Why should she be respected just because she has cancer?  I expect she'll get sympathy which is what she should get.  I don't think there's been a lot of criticism of her recently anyway.  I also don't think she was intentionally racist either - just not very bright.  I feel sorry for her and wish her the best.

well i have to feel sorry for her this time. i mean i know she landed herself in hot water big time in Big Brother for the racist row, but i think people need to respect her and offer support for her through this difficult time. you have to give her credit for wanting to go to India to make amends for what she did and to get them to forgive her. people have to understand that cancer is a dangerous illness and it must be very scary for her to realise that she has this. my heart goes out to her. i hope she pulls through

She was never respected, the public has always treated her like a joke. Now that something tragic has occurred she may finally slide into the obscurity she belongs in. Unless of course she releases another book and again gives the media the ammunition they seem to love.

I am so annoyed with this whole thing!!

So many people get diagnosed with cancer, 3 years ago my dad got kidney cancer, did he get put on the paper?? Did he get publisity!

So many ppl get diagnosed with cancer every day, and yet, Jade Goody gets cancer and its the best media event for ages!

I dont have a prob with Jade, i do think she is trying to get every peice of fame she can get, and trying to raise her profile, she could of spoke to Shilpa Shetty on her own rather than making a big deal out of it and going on japanese TV!

I dont think she will be mroe respected no, and tbh i hope she doesnt, just because she has cancer does not make her a better person does it,

i dont see why the world should stop beco a celeb (if u can call her a celeb) has cancer!!!!

For evryone who is fighting cancer, and who hasnt been rinted on page 3, i hope everything works out!!

Hi I don't like her at all can't believe see was doing indian BB how desperate. She knew she was ill before she went in to BB so she done it for the publicity and its worked!

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I don't like Jade, but I tend to think that rather than being racist, she's just an ignorant woman with a big mouth. I'm sorry that she's ill, but I wouldn't put it past her to use her illness as a way of eliciting sympathy- let's face it, if anything was going to get the public back on her side, it was this. If she genuinely didn't know she had cancer when she entered the BB house, then fair play to her. If she DID, then it was a truly reprehensible trick.

My mum died of cancer and I hope jade makes a full recovery, although I think she is a complete waste of space.

Whether people like her or not she is in the public eye. If she puts cervical cancer and cervical screening out there in the press and it saves even one life then it doesn't matter how annoying or irrelevant she is.
