Jafeica, the one to beat in A2 500m Flat at Sheffield
Jafeica boasts some quick sectionals, and should be respected on those. N. Melbourne’s charge has plenty in favour, and can easily annihilate his opponents in the A2 500m Flat at Sheffield on Monday, September 3rd.
The black dog regained his form here at the end of last month, when showing an excellent effort in an A1 event. He had every chance of seizing the top rank, but things slipped out his hands within no time. As a result, he missed the gold medal by three quarters
of a length.
His supporters, however, have plenty of positives to extract out. Stepping down to this level will give him a lot of confidence, and the son of Slip The Lark just needs to deliver his one hundred percent in order to thrive.
Among his rivals are: Lively Beast, Rusty Streak, Desert Ace, Lethal Tiger and Devils Demon. The contest is due to get underway at 13:58 GMT. It carries a cash prize of £102, which will be given to the successful hound at end of the race.
Devils Demon is not without a chance, if socks are fully pulled up. The brindle dog has the advantage of starting the affair from the first trap, but if he fails to take advantage in the early exchanges, a few others will prove too good.
Lively Beast has a fair chance, and looks to be the biggest threat to Jafeica. The blue dog, trained by L. Stephenson, won a similar event here on August 18th.
He, however, could not cope up with the pressure, when promoted to the higher grade at the end of last month. As a result, he finished fourth behind Miss Penny last time. Returning to this class is a plus for him.
Traffic problems have been Desert Ace’s norm in the last few races. Rusty Streak was seen in a fair bit of action recently. But we don’t see her do any harm tonight. Lethal Tiger may have to wait for a more obvious chance.
Jafeica looks to have the best chance of winning. Lively Beast will be around as the winning line looms into view. Good luck to all the hounds.
