  1. this will help teams who were willing to sign players for less or more money because they won't have to worry about Jagr and Straka playing here. As for DiPenta he shouldn't have left the NHL, any team would take him and now Patrick Thoresen signed with Lugano in the Swiss league. i think this is happening because those players think they can get more money and it is tax free. this will effect the cap greatly because the gms will see that players ar going to europe for more money and it makes them lock up their best players for long term deals and more money, then the european leagues can't touch those players until their contracts are finnished or the team buys out the rest of their contracts.

  2. Jagr had $$$ problems with the Russian mob

    that's why he left

  3. Loblaws family is being shipped to Russia LOL

  4. maybe not enough $

  5. whats funny is im a huge nhl fan i love the wings and if i hear a player i usually know who it is but umm whos dipenta.. tht should say something like maybe the best arent going.. lets see i believe the nhl still has datsyuk zetterberg crosby hossa doan and other big name players the players who have gone arent tht important or they are old and shudnt b playing in the nhl anyways

  6. Who cares? Minor names that are close to AHL talent don't matter. Jagr is really the only decent player they've signed (at least legally)...

They have a max number of players from out of russia they can sign, and really, Teams can get guys like that from the AHL with no problem. I've said it before, the league that the KHL will really hurt is the AHL. The cap in the KHL is only going to be around 25 mil...

One big name who only wanted to play with one team here who didn't want him and a bunch of 3rd and 4th line talent who want to go someplace where they can be a star. I'm scared....

Oh, and the cap is tied directly to league revenues. I can't see this affecting revinues, so no effect on the cap.

  7. It's kinda like a musicians "farewell tour", when they know they are getting old and need to make as much money as possible and while they're name is still big.

It won't affect the cap at all.

  8. Europe and Russia are getting our sloppy seconds.  lol.

    Not effecting the cap, what-so-ever.
