Jail time for breaking and entering etc..?

my cousins boyfriend is going to trial for breaking and entering, destruction, assault with a deadly weapon and 2 more things i forget. he has a court appointed lawyer i guess. how much time or what is he lookin at she wants to know?

If the deadly weapon was a gun, it would add 5 years in prison on top of any other time.  Does he have any priors?  That would just make it worse.  I'd say he's definitely doing at least a year but it could be much more.  You really didn't give us much info - not even location or what he destroyed or extent of the assault.
