Jailbreak iPod Touch?

Question

I have an iPod Touch with the 2.0 upgrade and a couple of games. I have never jailbroken my iPod before, but with some of the unreasonable prices for games, I was a little intrigued. I have Windows. I have a couple of questions though.

1.) Is it possible to jailbreak if never hacked before?

2.) Is it possible yet?

3.) Is it illegal, or just frowned upon by Apple?

4.) Is it worth the effort?
