  1. More religious than beneficial. For some people avoiding salt can be beneficial also.

  2. *I've never heard of any religion that asks u to give up salt on alt. days only ...!!!

But yes, the doctors will be very happy if the 'janta' practices this ...... !!

Salt raises yr blood pressure ...... so if u avoid salt or use it very very sparingly, yr 'heart' will surely benefit & bless u for it & provide u with a better service in yr lifetime !!!

  3. i was raised Jain, never heard of this in my life.  I googled it, and the closest thing I could find is that Jain monks and nuns may give up something for one of their spiritual days, and that may include giving up salt for a day.

I think it is religious, because Jains are about learning to go beyond the pleasures of the human body and find something spiritual or higher, so by giving up something that people like (such as salt), you gain perspective on how much you enjoyed it.

  4. gooooood

    its religious n healthy tooooo

as for religion : for making you have boil water n when u boil water ...... so many bactariya's would get killed ..?  in jain relgion

killing anything is not acceptable ..so by redusing eating salt is this ... n its good if u eat less salt ( medically proved )

    ok

    ok

  5. Is this Jains person a vegetarian?
