I will be travelling for a week in Rajasthan in August from Delhi.

I want to see Agra and the Golden temple in Armitsar in Punjab.

then what would you reccommend between Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer? unfortunately I don't have the time to see them all!

is it going to be very hot during the monsoons?

many thanks!

  1. im no expert on india, only been there once ,on a kuoni tour.the golden triangle.delhi,jaipur,aggra.the whole trip was amazing.but apart from standing in awe and looking up at the Taj Mahal my favourite part was the ghost city of fattepur sikri.(i think i spelt that right).it was very very hot.i only had seven days,so delhi to jaipur and aggra was done in hurry, not enough time, but i loved the trip, twas ok for just a week.enjoy.indian people are very nice.personally,i did not like the very little i saw of jaipur.but maybe thats just me.if i had more time to see more maybe i change mind.

  2. I recommend Jaisalmir. Jaipur u can c from DLI any time.

  3. August is the month of rain almost everywhere in India. However I would recomend the route for r destinations as under.

day-1: delhi local sight seeing.(avoid Monday)

    day-2: delhi-agra-delhi(avoid Friday)

day-3: delhi-jodhpur. Jodhpur should be least affected in rain, so is jaisalmer. If u r keen on history, see Udaipur. Jaipur/Udaipur should be best for History lovers. Jaisalmer is just for desert camel/jeep safari.

Hope now you can make a good decision.

  4. if u want to see  real rajasthan go to Jaisalmer otherwise Jaipur

  5. priority wise

    1. Jaiselmer

    2.  Jodhpur

    3.  Jaipur.

  6. not so hot in monsoon temp will b 30 to 40 c in Rajasthan, try to visit Udaipur only city in Rajasthan remained untouched by Mughals.

  7. Month of August is pleasant climate to travel in Rajasthan. Jaisalmer is the best among the 3Js you have selected. You are welcome to India, a great nation with rich heritage.

  8. I think Jodhpur.

    pkn

  9. You don't need to go this route to enjoy India. It is the wrong season. This the time for the mountains.
