Jake Ellenberger likely to face Diego Sanchez next year at UFC on Fox 2 – UFC News
For months, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) had been buzzing with a possible fight between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez. On November 28, 2011, reports from UFC officials poured in that such type of a fight is a possibility.
The two American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters would have their hands full when they would meet each other in the ring.
The two fighters from the welterweight division are most likely meet next year. According to some news reports from UFC management, the UFC on Fox 2 event in Chicago could be the event where Sanchez will go against Ellenberger.
UFC on Fox 2 is scheduled for January 28, 2012. Sanchez would recover his injury until January which he faced at UFC 135. He faced Matt Hughes and suffered a broken hand. He is recovering from it and would be in top form until next year.
Their bout would be a one to watch as they would make a loud impact inside the UFC octagon fighting ring. So far, the only news coming in is that the two fighters would collide. The date, day and the event, however, is still undecided.
One can only wonder the energy their bout would hold as both fighters have a good MMA career under their belts. The 29-year old Ellenberger has won twenty-six fights in his MMA career with five loses and no bout ending in a draw. On the other hand, Sanchez
has won twenty-five fights in his MMA career with four loses. None of his fights ended in a draw either.
Sanchez, nicknamed The Dream may have won one less fight than his opponent, but his grappling skills can give him an edge in the bout, whenever that happens. Ellenberger, nicknamed, The Juggernaut, has been using his heavy hands
against his opponents throughout his career. He can bring those hands with efficiency and effectiveness against Sanchez and give some serious blows to the head and face region.
Ellenberger has been on a winning run as he is currently enjoying a five match, winning streak. His opponent, Sanchez, lost two straight fights and then won two consecutive bouts. UFC fans would be excited to witness these two
great fighters take their aggression out inside the octagon. It would certainly be a fight to remember.
