http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jake-Livermore-c17604, the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, revealed he was willing to consider a loan move in the upcoming January transfer window if he was not guaranteed first team football.
The 22-year-old central midfielder is becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of opportunity at White Hart Lane and has threatened manager Harry Redknapp with a move away. He admitted he would even be happy with a loan move if it meant he would be guaranteed
first team football.
Livermore said while speaking to reporters:
“I'll keep my options open for January and see where it leaves us.
Would I consider a loan? If it's the right club for me and they play a certain style, yes.
Ultimately, it is down to myself and the gaffer. But I'll just keep in his face and push on from there.”
The Tottenham Hotspur youth product revealed he was currently keeping his options open and would make his final decision after talks with the manager. He revealed he was only willing to stay if the club could guarantee him regular football.
Since making his debut for the senior Tottenham Hotspur in 2008, for whom he has so far made 10 appearances in the Premier League so far, Livermore has been on loan to various sides, including Milton Keynes Dons, Crewe Alexandra, Derby County, Ipswich Town
and Leeds United.
It seems Redknapp will ultimately give in to the player’s demands, seeing as how he’s short on players due to injuries. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-c35214 Huddleston is currently sidelined with a long term injury, which means Redknapp is in need of midfielders with a hectic period coming
up.
Redknapp said while speaking to reporters:
“We've only got Scott Parker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-Huddlestone-c35227 injured. If you include Jake we've only really got four specialised central midfielders.”
The English manager revealed he only had Scott Parker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 target Luka Modric and Brazilian Sandro in midfield. It is for this reason he will be in need of more midfielders and unless he intends to go shopping in the January transfer window, he will
retain Jake Livermore.
