Jake Peavy against the Yankees?

A-Rod and Giambi's bat have been absolutely HOT recently, will it be risky playing Peavy? Or will he demolish that lineup?

Dude, you GOTTA play peavy. I know yanks are hot and peavy just came off the DL recently but he did good in his last outing but more importantly its Jake Peavy. yah gotta play the reigning Cy Young who's having another fine season, no matter the opponent. I think he'll have a decent outing, maybe give up 2 or 3 earnies in 7? Like i mentioneed b4 u gotta play a huge ace like peavy unless the circuimstances are REALLY bad

Of course start Peavy. This guy is like the best SP in baseball. Just because he's pitching A-Rod and Giambi doesn't mean that they'll destroy him. Plus Peavy is never a risk starting unless he's injured. But anyways, no matter what team he plays, he pitches a good game. Why do you think he started the season ranked #2 in fantasy baseball SP?

Also look at some recent games by top SPs against good offenses. Hamels vs. Red Sox. Hamels pitched a great game.

Good pitchers control games. Look at how Hamels and Volquez demolished the Red Sox, Peavy can sure do the same. It won't be a perfect game and a win, but a servicable 7 inn. 3 ER, 8 Ks with a no decision is surely a possibility. So start him!
