The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has expressed that his team does not rely on a single individual and can win games even without Mario Gotze.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jakub-Blaszczykowski-c17616 reckons that there is no one-man show at the Westfalenstadion, and Dortmund can win games even without some of their big name players.
He added that the Black-Yellows have a strong squad at their disposal, and each individual is hungry for success. Blaszczykowski stressed that the Borussians hardly get affected with the absence of their star players, and Sunday’s
victory over Hamburg is a perfect proof of this.
Dortmund locked horns with the Red Shorts on Sunday, January 22, at the Imtech Arena and managed to register a thumping 5-1 win without their star attacker, Mario Gotze. The attacking midfielder was ruled out at the start of the
game through injury, and will also miss the upcoming clash against Hoffenheim at home.
Blaszczykowski insisted that each player needs to perform well in order to cement his place in the starting XI, and is pleased with the way his team played without Gotze in the middle. He acknowledged his team’s quality and strength
which has enabled the Borussians to stand on level terms with Bayern Munich on the league table.
While talking to the official Bundesliga website, the 26-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 international further mentioned:
“We’ve got a big squad with a lot of good players and we proved that again in Hamburg. The coach is spoilt for choice. If you want to have a say in the Bundesliga or in Europe, you need to have that quality.”
On the other hand, the midfielder also commented on his team’s upcoming game against Hoffenheim on Saturday. He stated that the Borussians are looking forward to winning that game, and are desperate to secure all three points at
home.
“I’m sure the game will have a certain something about it. We need to prove ourselves again against Hoffenheim and I'm sure we will do,” Blaszczykowski concluded.
Dortmund will host Hoffenheim on Saturday, January 28, at the Westfalenstadion which is another important fixture in their bid to retain the Bundesliga crown this season.
