  2. Try this one...

    It is not black current jam, but it should work in your machine...

    As for the settings, please look it up in your instruction booklet, but I am sure it will not be a very high setting. Jam must never boil vigorously, it should rather just simmer until the sugar becomes thick and stringy.

    Try this anyhow;

    (Green pepper Jam)

    This is a lovely jam for having on toast. Be sure to chop the green peppers finely

    4 cups of finely chopped green peppers 500 ml sugar

    2 ml salt 2 ml fine ginger

    2 ml mixed spice

    Mix all ingredience in a stainless steel pot and stand for 21/2 hours. Bring to boil for about 40 minutes over a moderate heat until syrup thickens. Remove from heat and bottle while warm in sterilized bottles.

  3. make sure you sterelise your jars or your jam will go mouldy

    Blackberry Jam

    5 cups (about 5 half-pints) (about 1 1/2 pounds) blackberries

    2 1/2 cups granulated sugar

    Wash blackberries in cold water; drain well. Transfer to medium bowl. With a potato masher or in food processor, crush berries coarsely. (You should have about 3 cups of crushed berries).

    Add sugar; mix well.

    Transfer to bread pan with kneading paddle attached. Insert pan into machine; close lid.

    Press MENU button to select Jam cycle. Press START-STOP button to begin. When cycle is complete, carefully remove pan from machine wearing oven mitts.

    Follow instructions for the desired storage of jam.

    Makes about 3 1/2 cups of jam
