Jamacian Vacation?

Question

I was thinking of asking my family to plan a trip to Jamacia. But I wanted to know is it a very nice place to visit? and any tips if we do go? Thanks :D

negril and treasure beach are awesome!

also if you want to save some money, don't go to the touristy parts (alas, negril is touristy) cos the markets and stuff will charge in american instead of jamaican dollars so you'll end up paying heaps more.  we didn't have that problem in treasure beach and could take a boat or car over to black river to do some mega shopping.

all of the "sights" like the falls etc are well worth seeing too, and if you do that make sure you stop at a roadside stall for a coconut ;)

i loved jamaica and i can't wait to go back there one day.

Very nice place to vacation. I loved it I went all over the Island but my Boyfriend lives there, this is an advantage. as he had his own car and new how to get everywhere. I loved the west coast and around the Ocho Rios area. but I suggest an all inclusive plan. especially if your travling as a family. Have fun!!

Riu!!! I've stayed at RIU Negril and the new RIU (Ocho Rios) that they just opened last May. They were both great properties and perfect for a family trip. I'm 23 and just went with a few friends, but it'd be perfect for families as well!  As far as what to see in Jamaica, take the Dunns River Falls tour!! you won't regret it! It's a 'do not miss' when visiting Jamaica. Tips - stay safe, remember you are in a 3rd world country, don't ever leave the resort alone & for me, I prefer not to leave after dark with, or without people...! and YES! it is a BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY!!! =)
