  1. Just come back from Barbados. Stayed at ST Lawrence Gap. It's beautiful but does have a drug problem. You get hassled a lot. Amazing sea and views though.

  2. I've been to Barbados twice; my partner was born there.  It is heaven on earth and I don't exaggerate

  3. jamaica

  4. We felt the safest in Aruba. As for the nicest and our experiences:

    - Jamaica: great culture, fascinating people, lush landscape, cool excursions especially Dunn's River Falls. Didn't feel entirely safe, though.

    - Barbados: somewhat average, but swimming with sea turtles is a great excursion. Weak on shopping for cruise visitors.

    - Antigua: best known for having 365 beaches, or one for every day of the year. So there are plenty of places to lay out without crowds. Reminded us of Barbados. The downtown shopping area is decent.

    - Bahamas: more crowded and developed than we like, but it's the top destination of the Caribbean because it's closer and more convenient than the other islands. Plenty of restaurants and shopping, of course.

    - Aruba: the smallest of all, a good place for a very quiet vacation. Not much to see or do, but good for taking it easy.

It really comes down to what kind of vacation you want. All of the above have excellent hotels and all-inclusives if relaxing is your goal.

  5. Ive only been 2 antigua, but loved it, iv been twice and would go back. it depends what sort of holiday you want, if its relaxing on the beach, swimming in the sea and generally chilling out then Antigua is your place. I stayed at the Coconut beach hotel, which is tiny but is great if you want to get away from everything, its like a little community - you make friends with everyone, also no children under 12 allowed. Its a 3*+ but seemed more like a 4*+. The food is amazing - best meals ive ever eaten there!!

I also have stayed at the Gran pinapple which is also really nice but more expensive but not alot greater that Coconut. It is also a bigger resort if you are looking for more to do.

Antigua generally is very friendly, never felt unsafe, the hotel, shop and airport staff are all really nice - its the kindest country ive been. They all talk to you but dont hassle - if u wanna be left alone they will do!

  6. Antigua... I live on my boat there for about 7 months out of every year and have for 5 years now... and I love Antigua... best island in the Caribbean

  7. The best place I have ever visited was the very friendly ANTIGUA

  8. BARBADOS!!!!! yipeee. But i've never been before.
