Jamaica -What impact does ATI have on Negril?

We were wanting a really quite, relaxing time in Negril, but just found out that the ATI weekend will be hosted in Negril. We are staying in the cliffs part of our stay. How crazy will the beach be? Originally we were going to stay on the beach after our stay on the cliffs, but now we're worried it'll be too chaotic.

A.T.I = Absolute Temptation Isle. (original meaning)

A.T.I. = Appleton Temptation Isle. (first branded version)

R.T.I. = RedStripe Temptation Isle. (Red Stripe Branded version)

This is roughly a 4-day ultimate party experience. There are perhaps more than 40 parties total. Most are drinks inclusive. Some are food inclusive. You can get season passes for US$210 or less. (note that there are two separate groups of branded events - RTI/ATI - so you would need two season passes).

During this time, negril is nearly GRIDLOCKED. There are at LEAST 20,000 people in negril for this event and usually ALL the affordable hotels are booked out. The crowd usually includes Jamaicans from all over the island and many Jamaicans from the USA, some of who might brign along thier US friends to experience it.

How does it affect a normal tourists stay? All hotels would be busier. All beaches would be busier. How much busier woudl depend on the particular hotel. More expensive hotels tend to have less of an impact.

If you want peace and quiet walking through the town, you WILL NOT get it during the ATI weekend.

stingjam what month will these events take place? i don't know whether to say i'm glad i never had the pleasure or if i want to join in on all that fun?!?  also, what's ur opinion on this event? i can take a crowd, as long as i can escape to my hide-away when i want to.
