Does anyone know what the weather is like in Jaimaca in late September early October? Would it be good to travel there then or would the threat of hurricanes, stroms, and rain be too much?

  1. Its hit and miss.  We go in September because it's really cheap and so far the weather has been beautiful.  We like Mobay.

  2. Jamaican weather isn't very predictable.  It's true that there is a threat of hurricanes in that tme but they hardly ever come anyway. September to early October is mostly sunny except for the colder areas of Jamaica which are not tourist areas so its worth a try.

  3. Hurricanes are what I would be concerned about.  Ask your travel person for cancel for any reason trip insurance.  Price it out and consider buying it since if you do cancel you will protect the full price of the trip.  You would only be out the insurance.  You can then relax, if a storm is near you don't go.

  4. I went last October the Ochos and it was beautiful. Weather was absolutely perfect, not too hot.

I would honestly stay away from the Sandals in Ochos. I stayed at the RIU which is the resort right next door. The Sandals resort looked really really ghetto compared to the RIU.

Sandals costs twice as much as well for all the same stuff.
