  1. Christmas is more of a family celebration, where family members that are abroad comes home, family reunion and getting to know the entire family( which can be 100 or close) there is also a dance(party) almost on every street Kingston. there,s a street dance in new Kingston under the patronage of the minister of tourism and culture. Both ends of Knutsford Boulevard is block off to vehicular traffic, and booth with art and craft, local cuisines and beverages are sold. the party starts at 7 pm and a number of reggae artistes drop by to show there appreciations to thousands of fans.

Grand Market is more of a last minute shopping for gifts, and is a favourite for kids. However, the parties that follows are a preview to STING which is held on Boxing night. There are clashes between 3 or more sound systems with popular reggae Dj and Singers as special guests  Boxing day is celebrated in the same way and is also the last minute rush to prepare for sting. street side beauticians are seen busy at work adding that last minute touch on nails face hair the works.(including bleaching, shhhtt) Ram goats, sheep, pigs, chicken, turkey, ducks, cows and even rabbits (also calaloo fi de rastaman) all fear those last two weeks of the year. they know they will be eaten.

Please note Rasta don't celebrate none of dees dates, but rasta capitalize pon the influx of currency, rasta ah nuh eediot, rasta sell off im goats dem, chickens, im one cow, im calaloo an ress ah vegetables dem(legal an illegal) an.... aamm....dont taak  but rasta sell off im hogs dat im was secretly rasing.
