Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry, Lamar Odom: Top contenders for ‘Sixth Man of the Year’ next NBA season
Part 2
Jamal Crawford
Atlanta Hawks’ star Jamal Crawford has experience, incredible basketball skills and on top of that, he is a player to rely on in the crunch time.
After spending 10 dominating years in NBA, the 31-year-old Crawford is all set to collect all the achievements which lacks in his resume, most notably the championship ring.
Jamal Crawford has always been a role player for the Hawks. He was named as the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2010 and was actually quite close in claiming the honours this year again. He however is a free agent now and given that
he wants to be a part of a championship hopeful side, it is almost given that he will be tried out from the bench till the time; he settles in and develops a chemistry with the team.
This will provide Crawford another shot at claiming the sixth man award.
Lamar Odom
In the presence of three of the best players of the league - Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum - Los Angeles Lakers veteran forward Lamar Odom managed to register an average of 14.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game  and that
too coming off the bench last season. The 6 ft 10 big also the crucial part of the well knitted defense of the Lakers which took them to the playoffs yet again.
His performances in the regular season were so good last time around that Odom turned out to be a unanimous choice for the best reserve award, beating competition from the likes of Dallas Mavericks’ guard, Jason Terry.
Odom is a kind of a player, who performs at his best every time regardless of the big names on his team. He will be doing the same in the next season and cannot be excluded from the list of top contenders for the Sixth Man of the
year award in the next season.
Jason Terry
Jason Terry provided substantial support to the Dallas Mavericks from the bench throughout the last regular season. However, his contribution for the team in the plat-offs was unmatchable especially in the NBA Finals series against
the spirited Miami Heat which marshalled Mavericks to win become the NBA Champions.
Terry has been the runner up for the sixth man award for three years running and with the championship ring secured, time will ripe for Terry to ultimately land the coveted award next NBA season.
