Jamal Crawford, O.J Mayo -
Guards Derrick Rose and Chicago Bulls need for a NBA Title (Part-2)
Jamal Crawford
The veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford, who also plays at the point guard position, last played for Atlanta Hawks as his contract ended with the franchise after the 2010-2011 season.
Crawford has experience, outstanding shooting abilities and on top of that he started his NBA career in Chicago Bulls uniform which makes a sense of having him back in the team when he has matured into an incredible player.
Jamal played first four seasons with the Chicago Bulls before shifting his talent to New York Knicks. In the Last season with the Bulls, Crawford averaged 17.3 points and 5.1 assists per game which is exactly the kind of performance
Bulls need from a player to support the All-Star Derrick Rose.
Over the years, Jamal Crawford has transformed himself into a formidable threat, who not only keeps the score board ticking, but also frees up a number of opportunity for his teammates continuously by dishing out assists. Jamal’s
biggest strength is his ability to maintain his own in the clutch moments of the game.
In the last two seasons with Atlanta Hawks, Crawford carried the role of a knight in shining armour for the team down the stretch which earned him the NBA Sixth man of the Year award in 2010. Jamal experienced playing in the play-offs
for the first time in his career with Atlanta on both the occasions and proved that his brilliance on the big platform as well.
Pairing up with the veteran Crawford, the 22 years old Rose will not only have someone to watch his back, Chicago Bulls superstar will also get to learn from the substantial experience of Jamal which will ultimately increase strength
on the roster.
O.J Mayo
Memphis Grizzlies young shooting guard O.J Mayo may have some problems off the court however; the 23-year-old Mayo has proved himself as a potent scorer in a very short time.
O.J Mayo and Derrick Rose appeared in the same NBA Draft in 2008. Rose was selected with the first overall pick while Mayo was drafted with the third pick. Derrick and Mayo both had an outstanding start to their NBA career and
were the top 2 contenders to clinch the NBA rookie of the Year award during the 2008-2009 season. Chicago Bulls superstar Rose nabbed the honour while Mayo finished second in the race.
O.J Mayo is going to be perfect fit for the team if Chicago Bulls trade him from Memphis Grizzlies. Mayo and Rose, who have been dominating on the court for three seasons with their respective teams, can become a major threat in
the league by pairing up to lead Chicago Bulls.
Mayo scored with an average of 18 points per game in the first two seasons however the Grizzlies reduced his playing minutes during the 2010-2011 season which hampered his scoring average as well. Considering the potential of Mayo,
he is a player to score with an average of 20-plus points per game and he will reach that mark in no time.
Rose and Mayo both are on the threshold of their career. They have proved their brilliance in no time and Chicago Bulls can become the next team to clinch the NBA title by having both the players on the roster.
