Jamarcus Russell or Travarias Jackson?

Tavaris Jackson has a better team around him so I think he will have a better year.  Jamarcus Russell will have a better career, though.

Russell will be much better.

Look what happened to Adrian Peterson last year, teams started taking him seriously and he got dominated by defenses.  He averaged less than 1 yard a carry against SF last year.  So that will put more pressure on Jackson to pass.

Russell has no pressure.  Everyone expects the Raiders to suck, so he can just relax and play comfortably.

Thats a tough one...  I'm going to go with Jackson because history is against Russell.  He's a first year starter and it's not like he's been sitting behind a quality QB learning the system.  Usually first year starters at QB in the NFL haven't done spectacularly well.  That being said, I feel Russell has more talent as well as physical tools than Jackson and will have the better career of these 2 QB.

Jamarcus Russell will have the better season, defenses will be keying on Darren Mcfadden.  This will give Russell the freedom to have a great season.

That is a push.  I am not impressed with either.  Jackson however has a much better team around him so maybe a slight lean that way.

Russel is better talent wise but Russel's best target is the tight end. Javon isn't what is used to be. On the other side, Jackson has sidney rice, wade, berrian. He has three #2 recievers really but it's still better than what Russell has.

Jamarcus Russell won't be putting out the numbers he's capable of for at least 2-3 years. Oaklands has zero receivers and zero lineman. Best shot Russell has is dumping the ball off to the RBs and letting them try some open field moves. Besides, Kiffin seems very reluctant to give Russell deep field opportunities, for whatever reason.
