http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JM-Anderson-c1705, the ace English pacer, has admonished his team not to underrate the Indians after their top bowler, Zaheer Khan’s injury-forced departure, as he fears that the rivals can bounce back in the series any time. However, he has termed Zaheer as
an irreparable loss for Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
Andersen argues that the English cannot feel totally secure with the absence of just one bowler of the opponents who have gained a new threat, in the shape of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/I-Sharma-c1566, Praveen
Kumar and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/S-Sreesanth-c2398 are in good form.
The English bowling star opines that the ongoing 4-match npower Test series is a battle for No 1 position in the international Cricket Council’s Test rankings as the Indians are struggling to retain it while the Poms are ambitious to gain it at every cost.
As per the results of the series so far, the home team seems to be in dominant position as it has won the first two Test matches convincingly and comfortably.
Talking to the media today, Anderson said, “(Zaheer) will be a big loss as he's the leader of their attack, he's such a skilful bowler, especially in English conditions, he always bowls well here. "It is a big loss for them but we can't get carried away
with one individual going home because they've got strength in depth and we know that whoever replaces him will have quality and we've got to look to get the better of him.”
He further told, “It's their number one spot that they are defending so they have got a lot to play for."
Anderson remained resplendent in the 1st and 2nd Tests as he took 7 and 5 wickets respectively in both the games, steering his side to taste the two tremendous victories.
Now, the right-arm bowler is geared up to replicate the winning legacy in the 3rd npower Test, which going to start from tomorrow.
The 29-year-old has 61 Tests matches to his credit with231 wickets. He made his Test debut in 2003 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045.
