I am having a James Bond theme birthday party and will be giving people mission's beforehand for them to complete on the night. I am running out of idea's, I have things like making cocktails, convincing people about something that not true, card tricks, taking things from people without them knowing etc. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  1. I am poor of ideas today, but I will give sites:

  2. Have a kind of scavenger hunt around the house where the found items make some kind of gadget or weapon - say a watch, vehicle or a gun, or even the image of a person. Find a picture of a James Bond related image - pictures of the various Bonds or Bond girls or villains, vehicles (Astin Martins, BMW's, the speed boat from Live and Let Die, his Walther PPK or other gadgets - pretty much anything Bond.

Make two copies of the image. Keep one whole, and cut the second one up into several pieces and hide them around the public areas of the party. The mission will be to collect all the pieces of the image they have been assigned. Completed "puzzles" can be awarded token prizes.

You can make this a competition and a way to get people to mingle. As a competitition, people can find other people's pieces and they have to barter/trade for the pieces that they need. Or even as a "go fish" type of game where you are allowed to pick a piece from someone else as long as it isn't part of their mission image. If someone has Sean Connery as James Bond as their mission, and have various other pieces, they can protect all the Sean Connery pieces, but someone else can pick one piece from all their other collected pieces. Or, if your mission is Hally Berry/Jinx, you can ask if another person if they have any Jinx pieces - if they do, then they have to surrender them to the person with that mission.

You can even attach a piece of someone else's mission to the mission that each person picks up when they enter the party. This will make sure that everyone is mingling and talking to everyone else.  You can decide how many pieces to cut your puzzles into, depending upon the size of the party and available hiding places. Find interesting places to hide the pieces - like under planters or flower pots, to the sides of lamps or behind furniture, or taped to the bottoms of beer bottles or cups and plates.

To make sure pieces match, you might want to write the name of the character or item on the back of each piece. You can be very creative with this and I think that you can have fun with this as well.

Sounds like a great party - have fun.
