James First in form to strike a hat trick through the Betfred The Bonus King Maiden Standard Trophy – Heat 2 at Nottingham
Betfred The Bonus King Maiden Standard Trophy – Heat 2 will be held over 500 metres flat on Monday, 30th April. Competing for the £125 prize money are Nastasi, Ballymac Guitre, Stanley One, Gotoon Picasso, James First and Monkspath Azluke.
The most promising entry for the race is James First, Timor Blue’s white and black son out of b***h, Graigues Haze. He broke into the new season by getting drilled on 20th March at Nottingham over 305 metres and completing the task in 18.50 seconds.
His seasonal debut fell on the 24th of March at Nottingham over 500 metres. He failed to bag the race but settled as the runner up behind the winner, Holston Sophie, who led by three lengths and timed the track distance in 30.88 seconds.
His first success of the season presented itself on 31st March in a 500 metres race at Nottingham. He reached the other end of the wire in 31.14 seconds and led the runner up, Autumn Ardor, by five and a half lengths.
He could not maintain the momentum as he scored second in a Grade A3 500 metres flat at Nottingham on 7th April by taking 31.25 seconds while being entered as the 9/4 favourite.
The winner, Bodell Imagine, was through the track in 31.19 seconds and led the track by ¾ of a length.
Settling third behind the winner was Salacres Rebel.
James First was the 10/11 favoruite of a Grade A3 500 metres on 14th April after timing the track distance in 30.99 seconds and led the runner up, Woop Woop Smokey, by a short head’s difference.
Coming at terms with the third position was Salacres Rebel who made it to the other end of the wire in 31.19 seconds.
He tossed another victory on 23rd April at Nottingham in a Grade A2 500 metres flat. James First concluded the race in 30.82 seconds and had a very close contention with Bodell Gift who timed the distance in the same duration.
Fire Foods Nitro settled third behind the winner and was soon followed by the 7/4 favourite of the race, Fintans Freddie, who took 31.14 seconds.
He is in complete form to bag the race tonight.
