James Harrison in need of navigational help as Pittsburgh Steelers head to Mexico City for youth camp
The Pittsburgh Steelers head to the Mexico City for a youth and fan camp this weekend, but to much confusion of their linebacker, James Harrison, who until the other day did not know if the place was Mexico City, and instead kept boasting
about the New Mexico to be the camp destination.
James, who is well known in the league for his daring and most of the time rough tackles, which also made him the only player to have been suspended for a game under new safety rules, during an interaction with his teammate, defensive
end, Brett Keisel, proudly said he was heading to the New Mexico for the team camp.
A section of media has cited the LB's text messages to Keisel, and they read as:
"James sends me a text, like, before we agreed to do this, 'Come with me to New Mexico to a camp.' I texted him back, and was like, 'Jim, I think it's Mexico, not New Mexico.' He's like, 'Oh no, I'm gonna have to bring some guns.' "
Brett, who is accompanying Harrison and other players to the camp, is reported to be very familiar with the surroundings of south of the border. He, however, is set to have more fun as long as he stays in contact with Harrison, who is
not short of surprises anytime.
Keisel should hope that the LB is able to land in the right place and avoids wandering into wonderlands.
The lighter side of the LB is a rarely shown aspect of his personality, as he otherwise is well known for his daring challenges to the oppositions’ quarterbacks.
He is particularly very up to the target and effective in roughing up and often hurting the Cleveland Browns players. He has knocked three Browns in the last two years, irrespective of the fact that his hit on QB Colt McCoy proved to be
too costly for him.
Harrison has become the only player to be suspended under the National Football League (NFL)’s enhanced players’ safety measures. Yet he is away from showing any remorse over those incidents, which in eyes of some commentators makes him
a habitual challenger.
