James Horwill signs new deal with Reds and Australian Rugby Union for next two yearsJames Horwill has signed a new deal with the Reds and Australian Rugby Union for the period of next two years.He has been playing for Queensland Reds since 2006 and new memorandum would take him to the end of 2013. He made his Super Rugby debut against the New South Wales Waratahs in 2006. He was so impressive during the season and proved himself as the find of tournament.Soon he was included in the national side of Australia and played his first ever rugby international test against Fiji in 2007. He played the whole test series against Fiji but he was not included in the final squad for Rugby World Cup 2007.He continued working hard and made a permanent place in the national squad in 2008 and participated in every match of the year. He has also the prestige of being youngest of captain of the Reds in its 33 years history. He controlled the command of his club at the age 22.James Horwill confirmed the new deal with Reds and ARU said that he was enjoying with his club that made him recommitting with it. He made his comeback in to the side after long knee injury. The Queensland skipper took a brave move of returning to his club as he had been facing devastating knee injury. He has really boosted the Red in the current Super Rugby season and his team has come to the top of the point’s tables for first time since 1999. He played wonderfully well in the last game against the Bulls, a South African conference to beat them after a close contest by 39-30 in Brisbane. The victory against the defending champs Bulls means a lot to the Reds and they also claimed sixth consecutive victory of the tournament on Saturday.The Reds have been defeated only once in the ongoing Super Rugby championship under the leadership of Horwill. The team management has welcomed the decision of their skipper and hoped that it would further help the team to keep up the winning momentum.
