James Jones pays tribute to Miami Heat’s Big Three – NBA Update
James Jones might have had lost his personal significance ever since he became the part of Miami Heat, but the sharp shooter does not mind it as long as his team wins.
After the Miami Heat knocked out the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night, advancing to their second consecutive NBA Finals in the process, Jones lavished the resilient trio of LeBron James,
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh – the triple ripple from the South Beach.
“These guys have battled through everything, internally and externally,” Jones said. “The expectations and the weight have been on LeBron, D-Wade and Chris. It seems every time we get into a tough spot, those adverse conditions,
they find a way to come up big for us. It’s not just one. They all come up collectively. [Saturday] is a great example of that.”
After falling in their last hurdle in their first year together, the Big Three had a roller coaster ride this time around, one in which they overcame fatigue and injuries. The trio however kept on fighting and last night, it all
came together in the fourth quarter.
LeBron, Wade and Bosh combined for all of Miami’s 28 points in the fourth quarter and accounted for 73 of Miami’s 101 points in the game.
The most significant point of the night came when Chris Bosh nailed a three right at the start of the fourth quarter.
The long range dagger put the Celtics defense in doubt and when Chris repeated the act midway through the frame, it marked the beginning of the end as far as the C’s were concerned. The man who was only 10 of 35 from beyond the
arc in 57 games this season and 2 of 4 in six playoff games before Game 7 drilled 3 of 4 and opened up the floor for James and Wade.
The performance also signalled the comeback of the man, whose credentials has been doubted by many.
Bosh finished the game with 19 points and has added a new dimension to the offensive arsenal of Heat, who now move to the Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder in the NBA Finals.
OKC are no pushovers and after beating the hottest team in the league, the San Antonio Spurs, they will enter the NBA Finals as favourites. However, if the Big Three of Miami turns the heat on, they will be in trouble.
