James Milner set for talks and José Mourinho wants Ashley Cole

James Milner will hold talks with Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill to discuss his future.

Milner is wanted by Manchester City, and last week O’Neill revealed he thought his player was desperate to leave. Manchester City made a bid of £24million for the England midfielder. Also, O’Neill believes he might lose Ashley Young this summer, who is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.

Stephen Ireland definitely looks set to leave Manchester City, as it is reported he has had a bust up with manager Roberto Mancini on their tour in New York. Mancini has also not given up on trying to sign Liverpool striker Fernando Torres, while Torres’ teammate David Ngog is demanding £2million-a-year in wages, which is deterring clubs from signing him.

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho wants to bring Ashley Cole to the Bernabéu. The Chelsea left-back is on top of Mourinho’s wish list. Cole looks to be seeking a transfer from Stamford Bridge, but has been warned of moving to Real Madrid by Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, who has reassured fans he will not be leaving.

Brett Emerton is wanted by Galatasaray, but Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has stopped any attempts of a move to the Turkish side. Allardyce is also holding talks with 18-year-old Brazilian Henrique Haygnner Celestine of Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira.

Blackburn are also competing with Sunderland over the loan signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United. Sunderland goalkeeper Martin Fulop is wanted by Spanish club Hercules, and the Black Cats’ manager Steve Bruce wants Marseille left-back Taye Taiwo.

Newcastle have high hopes of bringing Hatem Ben Arfa from Marseille on loan, while Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp will name Robbie Keane in his 25-man Premier League squad, despite suggestions he could leave the club this summer.
