The 23-year-old cricketer burst into the scene of international cricket in 2011 and made an immediate impact at the highest stage of the game, with his ability to bowl at a high speed consistently.
However, the young speedster’s career has been hampered so far due to injuries, which is the reason why he has just played just 10 Tests, 11 One Day Internationals and four T20 Internationals till date.
The cricketer from Victoria is now confident about his fitness and feels that he is improving with the passage of time.
“I'm about the age now where I can really go upwards with my cricket. At 23, it's a good age to take on the world, in cricket, in anything you want to do,” he said. “I feel like my body is getting better every time I bowl and I'm becoming stronger as I grow
into my body.”

The young pacer’s elder brother, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and James revealed that his brother has been a great help for him over the years.
“I'm starting to feel comfortable with my own game and I've learnt a lot from Darren and on the A tour about backing myself, playing with freedom and aggression. That's when I bowl best, when I am aggressive and consistent,” Pattinson added.
The Victorian fast bowler has already picked up three five-wicket hauls in Test cricket and looks all set for many more if he remains fit.
