http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Pattinson-c1653, the young Australian fast bowler, was delighted with his bowling performance against the Indian batting line-up in their second innings. He guided his team to victory in the first Test matches against India, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground
(MCG). Australia leads the 4 match series 1-0.
The rookie bowled excellently throughout the match, grabbing six wickets in the match, and four in the second innings to ensure that Australia won by 122 runs. He also made valuable contributions with the bat, scoring 18 and 37 runs in the two innings.
Pattinson deservedly received the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his all-round performances. In his short international career of three Test matches, it was his second ‘Man of the Match’ award.
The jubilant Victorian stated that playing in the Boxing Day Test for Australia was just like a dream come true.
