This is another setback for the Baggy Greens, who have been already jolted by their consecutive losses in the opening two Tests of the battle.
The 23-year-old cricketer came through the ranks of junior cricket in the country and made his way to international cricket in 2011. The right-arm pacer is considered to be one of the most talented fast bowlers in the country, although he has had a career
troubled by injuries so far.
While expressing his disappointment at being ruled out of the rest of the series, the cricketer from Vitoria said that lack of rest between innings during the Lord’s Test caused this injury.
“When you go out doing what you do it's hard on the body and in an ideal world you'd like a bit more rest than that. It's far from ideal,” Pattinson said. “You go out there and put your body on the line and you're playing for your country.”
It needs to remembered that the Kangaroos managed to score merely 128 runs in their first innings and were bowled out in the 54th over of the innings, giving no time to their fast bowlers to rest.
Pattinson, however, is still optimistic about his future and feels that he would be able to play for his country regularly as he gets physically stronger with the passage of time.
“Once I get a bit more mature, I've said it a thousand times before, but I'm still hoping one day my body is going to mature and I'll be able to do that back-up not just for two Tests but five,” he added.

towards his team’s cause with the bat as well, which he proved during the initial two Ashes Tests.
