http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Taylor-c66127 happy to be back in the Test team – Cricket News
James http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 last year and claims to be ready for international cricket once again.
The 23-year-old cricketer came through the ranks of junior cricket in the country, having represented England Under-19s. After some impressive performances in county cricket, the cricketer from Nottingham made his Test debut during the series against South
Africa last year.
However, the stylish batsman was not able to make an impression and was subsequently dropped from the side.
Since then, Taylor has done well in first-class cricket and now has been recalled to the Test team as a cover for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806, who injured his calf muscle during the second Test at the Lord’s.
The middle-order batsman claims to have learnt his lesson and now he is geared up to make a mark at the highest stage of the game.
"I've worked hard on my game since I was left out. It was a great experience playing against South Africa but it was all too brief, and I've gone away and worked really hard since getting left out," said Taylor.
The young cricketer was drafted in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sussex-c852 squad to take on the Australians in a first-class match last week and Taylor did not disappoint the selectors, scoring a brilliant century.
Taylor is ecstatic to be in the England squad once again but like a true team man, he hopes that Pietersen would be able to take part in the third Test of the Ashes, which starts from August 1, 2013, at the Old Trafford, Manchester.
He added, "I've piled on the runs like the selectors asked me to and I feel like I'm in a good place now. I'm delighted to be back in the England squad - one step closer to playing - but we all hope Kevin is fit and well for the game.”
England have already won the opening two matches of the series and they appear to be a lot stronger than the Kangaroos, who are struggling to deliver the goods against a quality English bowling attack.
