England spinner James Tredwell is confident of his side making a turnaround in the fourth One Day International of the five-match series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, to be played at Mohali on Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
The hosts lead the five-match showdown 2-1 and need to win the Mohali encounter to seal the series. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 will go into the must-win encounter in Mohali, drawing inspiration from their nine-run victory in the first ODI.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kent-c802 all-rounder conceded that the back-to-back thrashings in the previous two games were on their mind. However, he insisted that they will draw positives from the series opener rather than thinking about poor performances, come the must-win fourth one-dayer on Wednesday.
"Obviously the two defeats are in the back of our minds but I think if you look forward to the result too quickly, then you take your eye off the process," Tredwell said while speaking to the media reporters at the pre-match press conference here in Mohali on Tuesday.
"We played really well in the first game. We will try to draw on that performance and try and reach those heights as opposed to dwelling on the poor performances of the last two," added the England spinner.
"I guess we are just going into the game trying to execute our skills as best as we can and if we do that and perform like we did in the first game, there is every chance we can turn them over," the 30-year-old off-spinning Kent all-rounder went on to add.
Asked about mood in the English camp, Tredwell said that they have had a couple of good practice sessions and are pretty confident about winning the Wednesday’s contest.
The fifth and final One Day International between India and England will be played at Dharamsala on Sunday, January 27, 2013. The Test leg of the itinerary was won by the tourists while the two-match T20 series had ended in a 1-1 draw.
