James Tredwell, the Kent off-spinner, is delighted to be back in English colours for the last two One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Australia and hopes to make a mark in the all-important series.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 is struggling with an elbow injury, which has ruled him out of the fourth and the fifth match of the series. The English selectors are not ready to gamble with their ace slow bowler, ahead of the crucial series against
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, which will decide the number one ranked Test team of the world.
Tredwell has so far played one Test and five ODIs for England and his only significant performance so far came against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011.
The fourth match between the arch-rivals is going to be played today at the Chester-le-Street, with the home team leading the battle by two games to none. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AN-Cook-c1026 and company look favourites to win their seventh consecutive series at home.
The off-spinner expressed that every professional player want to play at the ultimate level of the game and vowed for an impressive showing, if given an opportunity in the playing-XI.
"Hopefully I can get another game and try to make my mark again. As a county cricketer, even if you feel you are never going to get to international level, you try to reach those heights if you can," said Tredwell.
Along with Pakistan’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Saeed-Ajmal-c87859, Swann is considered to be one of the best spinners in the present-day sport. Tredwell understands that it is extremely hard for him to replace a bowler of Swann’s class but hopes that he can do well against the Kangaroos
and retain his place in the side in future.
The off-spinner from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kent-c802 added, "You look on as a spinner and see Graeme as probably the best in the world at the moment. They are big boots to fill but hopefully I can come in with decent form and put in a performance. Who knows, I might be able to stay
around the squad."
