group match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 at Cardiff.
Tredwell however, has turned out to be an ideal replacement for Swann, having done reasonably well in the Champions Trophy so far. The experienced off-spinner is prepared to be benched if the premier spinner returns to the playing-11.
The 31-year-old cricketer admitted that Swann has been a great servant of English cricket, playing a huge role in the success of the national team over the last few years in all formats of the game.
"I'm in the squad and I'm getting a game here and there. I don't think I've let anyone down in the games I've played, so I hope that can continue," said Tredwell. "For my part it's fingers crossed, isn't it? But again Swann has
been brilliant, hasn't he, for a period of time. So if he's fit, I'm sure he'll come into the reckoning - as they say."
While commenting about his team’s prospects of winning the mega event, the cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kent-c802 feels that England has a great chance to lift a 50-overs global trophy for the first time. However, Tredwell said that his team is just
taking one match at a time.
"We have as a good chance now of winning this tournament as any team in the next stage. We don't want to look too far ahead - to lifting that trophy,” he added.
Tredwell has so far represented England in one Test, 17 One Day Internationals (ODI) and five T20 Internationals. The off-spinner has been a brilliant performer in county cricket over the years, having grabbed 335 wickets at the
first-class level.
