James Wade eyeing a reincarnation
He might have lost in the semi-final against Adrian Lewis at Ladbrokes. It might have been because of wind direction blowing in the arena or any other reason that might have led to his defeat.
However, the true story is under disclosure now. Just a few months back, James Wade was diagnosed with serious nervous system and psychological disorders.
These included depression, bipolar disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. It was precisely because of such problems that Wade was not able to concentrate completely on the game.
Nevertheless, recent reports reveal that he has been successfully treated to overcome all these problems.
Currently the Premier League Champion, Wade will be opening his campaign against the Australian darts player Simon Whitlock at the beginning of the mega event.
He will be standing on the oche to claim the title for the third consecutive time and complete his hat-trick.
Commenting on his condition, Wade said, "My life hasn't been focused around darts for quite a long time so I'm really pleased to be in any sort of good form. It's been very tough at times, the lowest point of my life, not just my career".
He further said that his family and girlfriend in particular have been of immense support to him throughout his condition.
It is because of their support that he has been able to rejuvenate his career and begin a normal life.
The gravity of his mental condition can be understood from the fact that he has already suffered two nervous breakdowns.
In addition to this, he has to consume a list of pills to combat his disorders. It is important to mention that Wade, after Phil Taylor, was termed as the second best to grab the Ladbrokes Championship by veteran darts player Eric Bristow.
Along with this, Wade has recently changed his routine to accommodate some new pills that can replace the ones which were not working effectively.
Most of the new drugs consumed are used as anti-depressants.
Experts believe that once Wade is in complete form, he will definitely be able to avenge all the defeats he has experienced in the midst of his psychological suffering.
Hence, the audiences can cross their fingers for some interesting encounters coming their way.
