James Wade not recovering from the ‘bad form’ syndrome, World Matchplay will be the last medication for the 29-year-old to recover!
The World Matchplay ignites July 21. It has been alarming for one man who has not been able to successfully craft his way to a championship win for a long time now.
James Wade is one of the most respectable darts man in the business. His record speaks for itself and his charisma speaks on the stage. However, the past few months have been very hard for the 29-year-old darts magician.
Wade has failed to win a single tournament this year and is moving on with a blank score card for the year 2012.
It was the McCoy’s Premier League that witnessed Wade reaching the semi-final and was beaten at the hands of Phil “The Power” Taylor.
It was an embarrassing start to the year for Wade because he could have easily taken advantage of Taylor’s poor form in his match against the 15-time world champion.
The McCoy’s Premier League saw another giant falling apart. Adrian Lewis failed to hit the jackpot at the Premier League and was driven out by Simon Whitlock.
The UK Open hit last month with numerous players eyeing the tournament in hopes of reviving their careers.
Once again, it was James Wade who was being talked about as the strongest man to win the tournament, as he had won the UK Open twice. This was an opportunity for Wade to get a hat-trick but he failed miserably.
Wade left the UK Open beaten and disappointed.
This week, the World Matchplay is in the darts headlines. Big names are taking part in the prestigious tournament in order to improve their position in the world rankings.
Wade is darts magician who has the tricks but lacks consistency. When we talk about the best in the world of darts, one name stands out from all the rest, “The Power”.
Taylor has one attribute that makes him the best and that is his consistency. Wade has to learn from the 15-time world champion in order to snatch a respectable win in July.
The World Matchplay will be the most interesting darts competition after the McCoy’s Premier League and will stir old rivalries, alongside new and improved ones.
For Wade, he needs to work on his game and he needs to do it fast.
