James Worthy, Allen Iverson: An overview of the NBA Players’ arrests - (Part-2)

James Worthy:
James Worthy was a former National Basketball Association (NBA) player, who played for almost twelve years in the league. His performance remained good throughout those twelve years, but one appalling incident in his career brought
him extreme embarrassment. In 1990, James was arrested for soliciting prostitution in Houston, Texas. That very incident left major repercussions on his personality and brought him media attention as a villain in the professional league.
Known to show a very good behaviour both on and off the court, Worthy’s involvement in the incident came as a shock to NBA fans and followers across the board. The incident totally changed his perception and the way that he will
be remembered.
According to facts, in 1990, James Worthy, who used to play for the Los Angeles Lakers at that time, came to Houston to play game against the Houston Rockets. He was staying in a hotel when he called a local escort service and
requested for two prostitutes. The Houston police quickly acted timely and caught the player red handed.
Worthy pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to one year of probation and fined approximately $1,000 for his unethical act. He was also asked to spend almost 40 hours in community service.
Allen Iverson:
All throughout his career, Allen Iverson has been a trend setter. Be it the weird tattoos, pierced eyes and ears or the brilliant of basketball which he brought onto the court. However, never the one to shy away from controversies,
he has been involved in unethical practices during his career.
Throughout his14 years in the league, Iverson built a reputation of being notorious for his attitude and despite being one of the best players of his time; many franchises traded him just to avoid controversies caused by him.  In
his career, played for four different teams in the league and now playing in Turkey for Besiktas basketball club.
In 1997, Iverson was arrested on several accounts, including carrying weapons and drugs and was sent to community service. He was also allegedly convicted in the court in 2002 when he and his friends broke the law and were involved
in altercation with some of the local protesters. His most shocking incident though came during an altercation with his wife. He brutally threw his wife out from his house and threatened her two rescuers with a gun.
Although, Iverson showed very persistence performances in his career at the NBA, but his involvement with those unethical behaviours and aggressive actions brought him no good.
